Poemscapes is a collaborative project with sound designer Leo Martin and Stephanie Powell (a.k.a Attic Poet). Three poems, Jan Juc, Hong Kong & Kenya were set to sound and music. Produced remotely in Covid-19, the poems were recorded via WhatsApp and mixed by Leo in his home studio.
The words and music find the body in different places, anonymous in a metropolis, flying down back country roads in Kenya, swimming against the riptide on a childhood beach – in statis, moving, changing, revolving around the interchangeable idea of the body and the self.
